Pre-Gelled 3.5mm Snap Electrode Pads for TENS, EMS and Electrical Stimulation Equipment
These pre-gelled snap electrode pads provide a convenient skin-contact interface for compatible TENS, EMS and electrical stimulation equipment. Each pad combines a flexible non-woven backing, pre-applied conductive gel and a 3.5mm snap interface, allowing connection to compatible female-snap lead wires without applying additional conductive gel before use.
The self-adhesive construction helps keep the pad positioned on the intended application area during use, while the integrated snap connector provides a detachable connection to the lead wire. Electrode shape, dimensions, backing structure, gel configuration and connector type can be developed according to the requirements of the customer's finished device or accessory system.
Pre-Applied Conductive Gel for Ready-to-Connect Electrode Pads
The conductive gel layer is applied directly to the electrode pad during manufacturing, creating an integrated skin-contact surface. This eliminates the need for the user to manually apply a separate conductive medium before connecting the pad to compatible equipment.
For OEM projects, the gel and adhesive configuration should be selected according to the intended application, required adhesion characteristics, expected wear time and target product requirements. Adhesive performance can also be influenced by skin condition, placement area, handling and environmental conditions.
Where repeated use is required, the electrode should only be reused while the adhesive and conductive contact remain suitable for the intended application. Shelf life, reuse conditions, packaging and storage requirements should be established according to the approved material system and target market requirements.
3.5mm Snap Interface for Detachable Electrode Lead Wires
The snap-style connector creates a detachable interface between the electrode pad and the corresponding lead wire. This allows the lead wire to remain part of the equipment while the electrode pad can be connected or replaced separately.
Nominal snap size alone does not guarantee compatibility with every cable. Snap diameter, mating geometry, insertion depth and retention force should be checked against the intended female connector before production.
For multi-lead systems using 3.5mm female electrode snaps, customers can also evaluate our Shielded 6-Pin to 5-Lead 3.5mm Female Snap Electrode Cable as one example of a compatible snap-style lead-wire architecture.
Key Details for Custom Electrode Pad Development
Pad dimensions: diameter, width, length and overall geometry can be developed according to the target device and intended placement area.
Pad shape: round, square, rectangular or project-specific outlines can be evaluated according to OEM requirements.
Snap interface: connector dimensions and mating structure should be matched to the intended lead wire.
Backing material: flexible non-woven structures and related backing configurations can be selected according to the finished-product design.
Gel and adhesive: conductivity, adhesion characteristics and intended reuse requirements should be defined according to the target application.
Packaging and branding: individual packaging, multi-pad sets, labels, instructions and private-label presentation can be developed for OEM and ODM projects.
Designed as Part of a Complete Electrode Connection System
An electrode pad should not be selected independently from the lead wire and equipment interface. The snap connector, cable architecture, electrical output configuration and intended electrode placement all influence the final system design.
Heymed Medical can develop electrode pads together with matching lead wires and connector assemblies, helping device manufacturers evaluate the complete connection path from the equipment output to the skin-contact electrode.

Flexible OEM Options for Different Electrode Pad Applications
Different devices and body-placement requirements may require different pad sizes and shapes. Larger electrode areas, compact round pads, elongated designs and project-specific geometries can be evaluated according to the customer's device and application requirements.
The pull-tab structure can also be incorporated to provide a defined area for handling the electrode during placement and removal without directly pulling on the snap connector. Tab position, backing outline and printing can be adjusted according to the finished product design.
Skin-contact materials, adhesive system, intended duration of use and regulatory requirements should be reviewed for the destination market before the final material configuration is approved.

From Electrode Sample to OEM/ODM Production
Heymed Medical supports custom electrode pad projects from initial material and interface review through prototype sampling and volume manufacturing. Customers can provide target dimensions, pad drawings, matching lead wires, connector samples, packaging requirements or existing electrode references for engineering evaluation.
During development, the snap fit, pad dimensions, backing construction, adhesive behavior, conductive layer and packaging structure can be reviewed according to the approved product specification.
For market-specific projects, biocompatibility, shelf-life, labeling and other compliance requirements should be defined according to the intended product classification and applicable regulatory requirements before final production approval.
