Solutions & Applications
The Dual ABS Ear Clip Electrode Cable provides a reusable ear-contact interface for compatible stimulation and electrode-based devices. The 90-degree 3.5mm connector offers a compact device-side connection, while the two ear clips provide separate electrode contact points.
For OEM/ODM projects, connector type, cable length, ear clip housing, contact configuration, branch structure, cable color and packaging can be developed according to the finished-device requirements.
Heymed Medical supports device interface review, ear clip integration, cable structure development, prototype sampling, continuity testing and volume manufacturing.
Medical-grade auricular stimulation cable specifications for healthcare and neuromodulation therapy applications.
This reusable dual ear clip electrode cable combines a compact 90-degree 3.5mm male plug with two ABS ear clip electrodes, providing a simple device-to-electrode connection for compatible TENS, EMS, biofeedback and electrical stimulation equipment.
The right-angle connector helps route the cable closer to the equipment housing, reducing unnecessary cable protrusion around the device interface. The dual ear clip structure provides two independent electrode connection points, while cable length, pin assignment, ear clip construction and contact configuration can be developed according to the target equipment.

A 90-degree plug changes the cable exit direction immediately after the connector, allowing the lead wire to run parallel to the equipment housing rather than extending outward before bending. This can be useful for handheld, portable or desktop equipment where connector clearance and cable routing need to be controlled.
Although the connector uses a common 3.5mm physical format, it should not automatically be treated as a standard consumer audio connection. Contact quantity, internal wiring, polarity and signal assignment must match the electrical definition of the target equipment.
For OEM projects, customers can provide a device pinout, connector drawing, wiring diagram or existing cable sample so that the 3.5mm interface can be confirmed before prototype production.

Two separate ear clips are integrated into the cable assembly, allowing the equipment connection to be divided into two independent electrode branches. The lightweight ABS housing provides a compact mechanical structure around the electrode contact and spring mechanism.
Depending on the finished-device design, the two clips can be identified by color, labeling or cable markings. The electrical function of each clip is determined by the approved device wiring and should not be assumed from the clip appearance alone.
Ear clip dimensions, contact structure, spring force, branch length and cable exit geometry can be reviewed during custom development to better match the equipment and intended connection method.
3.5mm connector: contact quantity, pin assignment, polarity and mating dimensions should match the target equipment.
Ear clip structure: ABS housing dimensions, spring force, opening range and electrode-contact geometry can be project-specific.
Electrode contacts: contact material, size and electrical connection should be confirmed according to the finished-device requirements.
Cable configuration: 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m or customized lengths, together with branch dimensions and cable routing.
Cable material: PVC is available for the standard configuration, while alternative cable constructions can be evaluated for OEM projects.
Product identification: cable color, clip color, labels, logo and packaging can be developed according to OEM/ODM requirements.
Connector shape alone is not sufficient to confirm compatibility. Two devices may both use a 3.5mm socket while assigning the individual contacts differently.
Heymed Medical can review PCB definitions, device wiring diagrams, connector specifications or physical samples before prototype development. The electrical relationship between the 3.5mm plug and the two ear clips can then be configured according to the customer's approved design.
This is especially important for replacement-cable projects and new equipment development, where using a mechanically similar cable with an incorrect pinout could result in an incompatible connection.

A dual ear clip cable can be adapted to different equipment architectures through changes in connector type, electrical pinout, cable length, branch structure and electrode-contact design. This allows the cable to be developed around the finished device rather than requiring the device manufacturer to use a fixed off-the-shelf configuration.
Heymed Medical supports engineering review, connector and polarity confirmation, prototype development, cable assembly inspection and scalable production for custom electrode lead-wire projects.
For additional stimulation lead wires and electrode accessories, explore our TENS & EMS Cables & Electrode Accessories range.
During sample development, connector fit, electrical continuity, pin mapping, cable dimensions, clip structure and mechanical assembly can be checked against the approved project requirements.
Where the ear clip includes patient-contact materials, the material selection and finished assembly should also be evaluated according to the intended device, use conditions and applicable regulatory requirements.
Once the electrical and mechanical configuration is confirmed, cable molding, assembly, inspection, labeling and packaging can be transferred into repeatable OEM/ODM production.
Different stimulation and biosignal systems may require different ear-contact materials, equipment connectors and cable architectures.
