Four-lead electrode cable with a 2.5mm TRRS male plug, four 4.0mm gold-plated female snaps and flexible PVC insulation for compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy equipment | OEM/ODM customization available
This electrode lead cable combines a 2.5mm 4-pole TRRS male plug with four 4.0mm gold-plated female snap terminals. Four electrode leads provide separate routing to matching snap-style accessories for compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy equipment.
The plug has tip, two ring and sleeve contacts. Their assignment to the electrode leads follows the host-device wiring specification. The TRRS connector format does not establish an audio wiring standard or determine the number of stimulation channels.
Gold-plated contacts are used at the plug and snap ends, with flexible PVC insulation on the cable. Heymed Medical supports customization of contact mapping, main and branch lengths, cable layout, materials, color and packaging from customer drawings or reference samples.
Solutions & Applications
The 2.5mm TRRS to Four Gold-Plated Snap Cable brings four electrode leads into one compact device connector. It is intended for equipment designs that require a four-contact plug and 4.0mm female snap terminations. Each snap connects to a mechanically matching electrode accessory.
During development, the tip, ring 1, ring 2 and sleeve assignments are reviewed alongside lead pairing, plug insertion dimensions and snap mating geometry. Main length, branch lengths and split-point position are defined around the intended cable routing.
Heymed Medical supports drawing review, sample development and OEM/ODM manufacturing. Contact mapping, continuity, plug and snap fit, dimensions and appearance can be checked against the approved configuration before volume production.

Four snap electrode connections, one compact 2.5mm device plug. This custom lead wire uses a 2.5mm four-pole (TRRS) male connector at the equipment end and branches into four 4.0mm female snap terminations for compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy systems. The gold-plated snap contacts are a distinguishing part of this connector configuration.
The cable is intended for equipment whose electrode wiring has already been defined—not as a universal audio adapter or a universal replacement for every 2.5mm device. Heymed Medical can develop the lead arrangement, connector contacts, cable dimensions and identification details around the approved controller and electrode interfaces.

A TRRS plug has four separate contact positions—tip, ring 1, ring 2 and sleeve. On an electrode lead wire, the function of those contacts comes from the host-device pinout. The plug shape is similar to a four-pole audio connector, but that does not make its electrode wiring interchangeable with consumer audio equipment.
When a new cable is made from a reference sample, the first check is the device-side contact mapping: which TRRS contact goes to which snap lead, whether any contacts are shared, and whether the equipment requires a particular lead sequence. Four physical leads should not automatically be described as four independently driven stimulation channels.
For equipment that instead uses a two-contact 2.5mm connector and only two snap outputs, the 2.5mm Mono to Dual 4.0mm Female Snap Electrode Cable is a different interface arrangement, not a plug-in equivalent to this TRRS design.
Each of the four outgoing leads finishes in a 4.0mm female snap connector intended to engage with a matching male electrode stud. The reference product specifies gold-plated contacts, which may be selected where the project requires that contact finish. The snap housings, contact finish and lead identification can be specified together for a consistent assembly.
The actual snap fit still needs to be checked against the mating electrodes. The nominal 4.0mm designation is useful for selecting a connector family, but retention, stud profile and contact engagement should be confirmed with the intended electrode pad or physical sample.

In a practical TENS or EMS equipment setup, four snap leads may need to reach separate electrode pads while the controller stays at a convenient distance. The main cable, breakout point and individual lead lengths should therefore be considered as one layout rather than chosen from a single overall length.
The lead grouping and any color or printed identifiers can follow the controller's wiring scheme. For a replacement lead, matching the existing pinout and electrode connections is more important than matching the outer appearance alone. Other connector and electrode formats are available in our TENS & EMS Cables & Electrode Accessories range.
Device interface: 2.5mm four-pole (TRRS) male plug.
Electrode end: Four 4.0mm female snap connectors with gold-plated contact specification.
Wiring: Tip/ring/ring/sleeve assignment and each lead's function follow the approved equipment diagram.
Cable layout: Main cable length, breakout location and four branch lengths to be confirmed.
Construction: Wire gauge, jacket material, molded transitions and strain relief selected for the project.
Identification: Lead colors or labels, snap housing color and packaging according to the customer specification.
Heymed Medical can start from the original lead wire, a 2.5mm four-pole connector drawing, a pin-assignment table or samples of the matching snap electrodes. The engineering review focuses on connector fit, continuity from the TRRS contacts to each lead, the gold-plated snap specification and the finished cable routing.
Once a sample and drawing are approved, the same definition can guide connector assembly, overmolding, lead identification, electrical inspection and OEM/ODM production. Projects requiring a different device connector or custom lead count can be reviewed through our Custom Medical Cable Assemblies capability.
For an accurate quotation, please provide the intended equipment interface, four-lead pinout, matching electrode type, desired cable and branch lengths, material requirements and estimated order quantity.
We provide OEM and ODM medical cable assembly services for neuromodulation therapy device manufacturers and healthcare brands worldwide.
Resolve your concerns in advance — stress-free communication, efficient coordination
TRRS describes four contact sections on the 2.5mm male plug: tip, ring 1, ring 2 and sleeve. Their connection to the four electrode leads must follow the host-device wiring drawing. The connector format alone does not define channel count.
Do not assume interchangeability. Mono, stereo and TRRS plugs have different contact arrangements, and headset wiring may differ from electrode wiring. Confirm plug geometry, contact assignment and electrical requirements for the intended device.
The plug and electrode snap contacts are gold plated. Each female snap has a nominal 4.0mm interface. Confirm the mating dimensions and fit with the actual electrode; nominal diameter or plating alone does not establish compatibility.
Yes. Total length, main and branch dimensions, split-point position, wire gauge, color and packaging can be defined for the project. The reference design uses flexible PVC insulation; alternative material requirements can be reviewed during development.
Provide the 2.5mm plug drawing or reference sample, the tip/ring/sleeve contact map, lead pairing, mating snap samples, cable dimensions and target quantity. Heymed Medical can review the specification and develop samples before manufacturing the approved assembly.
