Four-lead electrode cable with a Micro USB male device connector, 4.0mm female snaps and molded strain relief for compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy equipment | OEM/ODM customization available
This electrode lead cable connects a Micro USB male device interface to four 4.0mm female snap terminals. It provides four separate electrode leads for compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy equipment, with molded strain relief at the connector terminations.
The Micro USB connector is used as a device-specific interface. Its pin assignment and lead pairing must match the host equipment; connector shape alone does not establish USB charging or data functionality. Four leads do not automatically mean four independent stimulation channels.
Heymed Medical can customize the main cable length, branch lengths, jacket material, wire gauge, color and connector configuration. Customer drawings, pinout definitions and electrode samples support configuration review and prototype development.
Solutions & Applications
The Micro USB to Four 4.0mm Female Snap Cable connects a compatible stimulation device to matching snap-style electrode accessories. Its four-lead layout allows individual routing to each snap terminal, while molded strain relief supports the cable-to-connector transitions.
For OEM/ODM projects, Micro USB pin assignment, lead pairing, split-point position, branch lengths and snap fit are reviewed together with the host-device requirements. Jacket material, wire gauge, color, labeling and packaging can be specified for the approved configuration.
Heymed Medical supports interface review, sample development and volume manufacturing. Electrical continuity, wiring, dimensions, snap engagement and appearance can be checked against the agreed project specification.

A single compact device connector and four electrode terminations: that is the defining layout of this custom Micro USB electrode cable. It brings a Micro USB male interface to four individual 4.0mm female snap connectors, allowing compatible TENS, EMS and physiotherapy equipment to connect with snap-type electrode accessories through one cable assembly.
The molded strain-relief (SR) areas are an important part of the design. They support the transitions from the main cable to the outgoing leads, where repeated handling and cable movement need to be considered. The photographed design is a reference configuration; pin assignment, branch layout, cable material and finished dimensions are specified for the customer's equipment.
The Micro USB male end provides a compact way to mate with a controller that has the corresponding socket. On this cable, the connector shape should not be confused with a general-purpose USB charging or data connection. Its contact assignment is defined by the electrotherapy device, and plugging it into unrelated USB equipment does not establish compatibility.
Before a replacement or OEM version is produced, the mating connector, orientation and wiring table should be checked against the actual controller. When the device uses another interface or requires fewer electrode terminations, a 2.5mm Mono to Dual 4.0mm Female Snap Electrode Cable offers a different two-output cable architecture.
Each of the four branch ends terminates in a 4.0mm female snap for engagement with a corresponding electrode stud. This lets the electrode pads be detached from the lead wire, while the four visible terminations remain organized within the same assembly.
Four snap ends describe the physical connections, not necessarily four independently controlled outputs. Whether the device uses two stimulation pairs, shared contacts or another channel arrangement must be determined from its pinout. Snap fit also needs to be checked against the intended electrode pads: the nominal 4.0mm size alone is not enough to confirm retention and electrical contact.
For other snap-type electrode cables and matching accessories, see TENS & EMS Cables & Electrode Accessories.
On a four-lead electrode cable, the breakout and connector exits are natural bending points. The molded SR sections help guide each lead away from the joint, while the selected conductor and jacket determine how the assembly behaves during routing, packing and repeated handling.
A sample review should pay attention to how the leads leave the molded section, whether the branch lengths reach their intended electrode locations without excessive pull, and whether the connector overmolds interfere with adjacent pads. These are more useful checks than relying on cable length alone.
Device-side interface: Micro USB male, wired to the approved controller pin assignment.
Electrode terminations: Four 4.0mm female snap connectors.
Branch identification: Lead colors, markers and grouping can follow the device wiring drawing.
Strain relief: Molded SR structure at specified cable transitions and connector exits.
Cable construction: Total length, individual branch lengths, conductor size, jacket material and color selected for the project.
Documentation: Sample, pinout table, controlled drawing, labeling and packaging defined before repeat orders.
For a new controller project, the most useful starting materials are the Micro USB mating-socket information, channel and pinout definitions, a sample of the intended electrode pads and a sketch of where the four leads need to reach. From these, Heymed Medical can work through connector fit, SR positioning, conductor selection and branch dimensions before preparing samples.
Once a sample is approved, the agreed details become the manufacturing reference for molding, assembly, continuity inspection, lead identification and packaging. More complex interface changes can be reviewed under our Custom Medical Cable Assemblies service.
The cable should only be used with equipment and electrodes whose mechanical and electrical interfaces have been checked for the intended application.
We provide OEM and ODM medical cable assembly services for neuromodulation therapy device manufacturers and healthcare brands worldwide.
Resolve your concerns in advance — stress-free communication, efficient coordination
It is a passive four-lead cable assembly that connects a compatible host device through a Micro USB male connector to four 4.0mm female snap electrode interfaces. Molded strain relief supports the connector terminations.
Do not assume compatibility from the Micro USB shape. This cable is intended for a device-specific electrode connection. Confirm the host connector function, electrical requirements and wiring before connection; USB charging and data operation are not specified for this assembly.
No. Four leads describe the physical connections to the snap terminals. The number of independent channels, paired leads and any shared connections must be defined by the host circuit and approved wiring diagram.
The reference length is 1.8m. Main length, branch lengths and split-point position can be specified for the project. TPU or PVC jackets, 28 AWG to 24 AWG wire gauges and different colors can be selected according to the electrical and mechanical requirements.
Provide the host-device connector specification, pin assignment, lead pairing, mating electrode samples or snap drawings, cable dimensions, material requirements and target quantity. Heymed Medical can review these inputs, develop samples and manufacture the approved cable configuration.
