Plate dimensions, cable length, connector series, keying and pinout can be customized for OEM/ODM projects. Compatibility and cleaning requirements must be verified with the intended equipment before use.
Solution & Applications
This reusable silicone neutral/dispersive electrode assembly is developed for compatible electrosurgical and RF systems that require a patient return path.
The electrode plate, lead wire and LEMO-compatible plug can be configured according to the specified equipment interface, connector keying, pinout, cable length and plate dimensions.
Heymed Medical supports OEM/ODM development from requirement review and prototyping through production. The completed accessory must be evaluated with the intended equipment, cleaning process, use environment and applicable regulatory requirements.
Medical-grade auricular stimulation cable specifications for healthcare and neuromodulation therapy applications.
This reusable silicone patient return electrode assembly is designed for compatible electrosurgical and RF equipment requiring a neutral or dispersive return electrode. The assembly combines a flexible silicone-based electrode plate, integrated lead wire and a push-pull circular plug configured for the target equipment interface.
Unlike a fixed standard accessory, the electrode plate and cable assembly can be developed around the intended equipment. Plate dimensions, cable length, connector configuration, keying, pin assignment, strain relief, labeling and packaging can be reviewed according to the customer's device specification and OEM/ODM requirements.

The flexible plate structure allows the electrode assembly to conform more easily than a rigid metal plate when integrated into the intended equipment setup. Plate geometry and dimensions can be developed according to the target system, required contact area and mechanical arrangement.
Because the electrode is intended for repeated use, the complete product should be evaluated together with the equipment manufacturer's approved cleaning, inspection and reuse procedures. Material behavior, electrical performance and mechanical condition should form part of the finished-product validation rather than being assumed from the plate material alone.
For OEM projects, customers can provide an existing electrode sample, plate drawing, connector specification or complete equipment information so that the electrode geometry and cable assembly can be reviewed as one system.
The pictured version uses a LEMO-compatible push-pull circular plug, but connector appearance alone does not determine compatibility. Connector series, shell size, keying, contact quantity, pin assignment and mating depth must correspond to the actual equipment interface.
Two electrosurgical units may use connectors that appear similar while using different mechanical keying or electrical definitions. For this reason, Heymed Medical can review the mating connector, equipment drawing, pinout diagram or physical reference sample before prototype development.
Where a different equipment-side interface is required, the cable termination can be adapted as part of a custom medical cable assembly rather than being limited to the connector shown in the standard product image.
Electrode plate: plate dimensions, geometry, thickness and flexible silicone-based electrode structure according to the approved product specification.
Equipment connector: connector series, keying, shell size, contact quantity and mating structure should match the target electrosurgical equipment.
Pinout: electrical contact assignment must be confirmed from the approved equipment interface rather than inferred from connector appearance.
Cable construction: cable length, conductor structure, insulation, strain relief and cable exit can be developed according to the finished assembly.
Reusable product requirements: cleaning procedure, inspection criteria, reuse conditions and lifecycle expectations should be defined for the completed product.
Verification: mechanical fit, continuity and required electrical performance should be evaluated with the intended equipment before production approval.
A patient return electrode should not be considered only as a conductive plate. The plate, cable, strain relief, connector and equipment interface form one complete electrical and mechanical assembly.
Heymed Medical can develop these elements together from customer drawings, equipment specifications or existing samples. Engineering review can cover plate structure, cable routing, connector selection, pin definition and mechanical integration before prototype preparation.
This approach is suitable for equipment manufacturers and OEM/ODM projects requiring a return-electrode assembly developed around a specific electrosurgical or RF system rather than a generic replacement accessory.

Development can begin from a device model, mating connector, electrode drawing, cable specification or existing reference sample. These inputs allow the electrical interface and mechanical structure to be reviewed before an engineering sample is prepared.
During prototype evaluation, plate dimensions, connector mating, keying, pin mapping, cable continuity, strain relief and overall assembly workmanship can be checked against the approved product requirements.
For reusable products, additional verification requirements such as cleaning resistance, repeated-use performance and equipment-level electrical evaluation should be defined according to the customer's product specification and applicable regulatory requirements before volume manufacturing.
Different electrosurgical systems may require reusable or disposable return electrodes, different conductive materials and different equipment-side connector architectures.
