Solutions & Applications
The HM-PD-TD01 Magnetic Pogo Pin Charging Dock provides a compact docking and charging platform for compatible medical tablets, healthcare terminals, nurse-station devices and commercial smart terminals. Magnetic positioning helps align the device with the Pogo Pin contact area during docking.
For OEM/ODM projects, 5V / 9V / 12V / 20V input configurations, output power up to 60W, Pogo Pin layout, optional data channels, magnetic structure, housing and mounting method can be developed according to the finished-device requirements. The solution can also be integrated into broader Medical Docking & Charging Solutions.
Heymed Medical supports device interface review, Pogo Pin layout design, mechanical integration, prototype development, charging verification, electrical testing and volume manufacturing. Customers can provide device drawings, 3D files, charging requirements or existing samples for engineering evaluation.
Medical-grade auricular stimulation cable specifications for healthcare and neuromodulation therapy applications.
HM-PD-TD01 is a magnetic Pogo Pin charging dock developed for tablets, handheld terminals and shared electronic devices. Compared with conventional charging methods that require repeated insertion of Type-C or DC cables, the magnetic alignment structure helps guide the device into the correct docking position, while the spring-loaded Pogo Pin contacts provide a repeatable electrical connection once the device is placed into the dock.
This docking architecture is particularly suitable for nurse stations, medical carts, clinical workstations, shared medical terminals and other environments where devices are frequently removed, used and returned for charging. The dock can be developed in single-slot or multi-slot configurations and customized around the target device dimensions, protective enclosure, contact position, charging requirements and installation environment.

In frequently used tablet and medical-terminal applications, the charging interface must address more than power delivery. Device positioning, ease of use and repeated connector engagement all influence the overall docking experience. Magnetic components can assist alignment as the device approaches the dock, helping the device-side contacts line up with the Pogo Pin array.
Spring-loaded Pogo Pins provide vertical travel that can compensate for a controlled amount of dimensional and assembly variation. This makes them well suited to charging docks, portable terminals and modular device interfaces that are connected and disconnected repeatedly during daily operation.
For custom docking projects, magnetic force, Pogo Pin travel, contact quantity, contact position and mechanical guidance should be engineered together with the actual device. Mechanical locating features are normally used together with the magnets rather than relying on magnetic force alone for final positioning.
A reliable Pogo Pin charging dock usually requires the device side and dock side to be designed as one complete interface system. In addition to the docking station itself, the project may involve a protective device case, magnetic modules, Pogo Pin contact assemblies, internal cable harnesses, PCBA, power input and mechanical mounting structures.
Heymed Medical can evaluate the target tablet model, medical terminal housing or existing device architecture to determine contact location, pin quantity, power channels, magnetic orientation, slot dimensions and installation method. Engineering support can extend to mechanical design, connector matching, PCBA integration and prototype development.
For projects requiring separate magnetic connector components, our Pogo Pin, Magnetic & FPC Components range can also be used to develop matching device-side and dock-side connection structures.
Device structure: tablet or terminal dimensions, protective enclosure, docking orientation and available installation space.
Pogo Pin interface: pin quantity, pitch, contact position, spring travel and device-side contact-pad design.
Power configuration: operating voltage, current, power level and power-input architecture based on the target device.
Data function: where data communication through the dock is required, dedicated contacts and circuit architecture can be developed according to the approved interface definition.
Magnetic and mechanical alignment: magnetic force, guiding structure and mechanical retention can be designed according to device weight, user workflow and operating environment.
Complete system integration: PCBA, internal wire harnesses, enclosure, indicators, mounting structure, branding and packaging can be developed for OEM and ODM projects.

When multiple tablets or mobile terminals must be managed in one location, storage and charging often need to be solved together. A multi-slot charging dock provides a dedicated position for each device and allows the terminal to begin charging after it is returned to the station, helping reduce loose charging cables and individual power connections.
For nurse stations, clinical workstations and medical carts, the number of docking slots, spacing between devices, insertion angle and mounting structure can be adjusted according to the actual operating workflow. Docking structures can also be developed for desktop, mobile-cart or fixed-installation environments.
More device charging and docking concepts are available through our Medical Docking & Charging Solutions .
A custom magnetic Pogo Pin charging dock normally starts with the target device rather than with a fixed standard dock. Customers can provide the tablet or terminal model, 3D files, enclosure drawings, charging-interface definition, power requirements or an existing sample for engineering evaluation.
During the prototype stage, device fit, magnetic alignment, Pogo Pin contact, electrical continuity, charging function and mechanical compatibility can be evaluated before the design progresses into tooling, assembly and volume production.
For projects that also require a separate device-side charging cable, a matching 3-Pin Magnetic Pogo Pin Coiled Tablet Charging Cable can be developed together with the dock, magnetic connector and internal cable assembly as one integrated connection solution.
Depending on device dimensions, installation environment and power requirements, the project can be developed at different levels, from a complete charging dock to magnetic connector components and dedicated charging cables.
